Sustainable Cosmetics Summit...
Changing the face of the beauty industry by sustainable development

The European edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit was hosted on 21-23rd October 2013. Over 150 senior executives from the beauty industry convened in Paris over three days to discuss key sustainability issues. Topics on the summit agenda included sustainability metrics, emerging green ingredients, sustainable processing techniques, retailer's perspectives, distribution challenges, eco-design approach and novel packaging materials. The inaugural Sustainable Beauty Awards reception was hosted alongside the summit. More details, including the winners, are on the website.

Organised by Organic Monitor, the aim of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit is to encourage sustainability in the beauty industry by bringing together key stake-holders and debate key issues in a high-level forum. The dates of the 2014 editions are as follows: the North American edition will be hosted in New York (15-17 May), Latin American edition in São Paulo (10-12 Sep), the Asia-Pacific edition in Hong Kong (10-11 Nov) and the European edition in Paris (24-26 Nov).
