The first Asia-Pacific edition of the Sustainable
Cosmetics Summit drew to a successful close in Hong Kong, bringing
together 120 delegates from across the region. The summit comprised two
interactive workshops and a seminar programme over November 7-8th. View

The premier Asian edition honed in on the major marketing and technical
issues associated with natural & organic cosmetics. However, papers
also covered sustainability best-practices, formulating with green
ingredients, entry to the Chinese market, ayurveda and distribution
innovations. The conference materials are now available for a

The previous European edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit took place in Paris on 18-20th October 2010. The summit highlighted the need for positive change in the beauty industry. Although case studies were given of companies taking steps towards sustainability, thought leaders asked for greater strides with some asking for 'positive impacts, rather than reducing negative impacts'.
